Online Gambling Money Management
1. Don’t play with money you’re scared to lose. Make a budget, decide how much you can afford to lose and make that the maximum amount you can spend while gambling.
2. Don’t bet larger on the next spin after a big loss, on the next spin after a win however go ahead and bet larger.
3. If your budget for the night is $500 your minimum bet should be $5, a progression of 100 units.
4. If you hit a winning streak and your budget increases go ahead and increase your bet size, do the opposite if you lose, making your minimum bet equal to 1% of your total budget.
5. Take only enough for 2 or 3 playing sessions to each table, never your entire budget. This gives you time to calm down and think about your bets if you decide to continue playing.
6. Never quit in the middle of a winning streak, take advantage of lady luck for as long as she’s with you.
7. Chasing your losses – increasing your bets after a loss in the hopes of recouping them - is the biggest mistake you can make in casino gambling. At some point every gambler loses, playing smart will help you to manage the losses not panicking. If you find yourself on a losing streak walk away, the casino will be there tomorrow when you may have better luck.

“In the queer mess of human destiny the determining factor is luck. For every important place in life there are many men of fairly equal capacities. Among them luck decides who shall accomplish the great work, who shall be crowned with laurel, and who shall fall back into silence and obscurity.” - William E. Woodward
Nine gamblers could not feed a single rooster. - Yugoslav proverb
“Depend on the rabbit’s foot if you will, but remember it didn’t work for the rabbit.” - R. E. Shay
“A gambler with a system must be, to a greater or lesser extent, insane.” - George Augustus Sala (1828-95) English writer and journalist
“Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing from something.” - Wilson Mizner
“I am sorry I have not learned to play cards. It is very useful in life. It generates kindness and consolidates society.” - Samuel Johnson
“In the case of an earthquake hitting Las Vegas, be sure to go straight to the keno lounge. Nothing ever gets hit there.” - An anonymous casino boss

Educating yourself on the correct playing strategies one should use is only a small piece of a lucrative game plan for the dedicated gambler. The right attitude toward the game can be equally important.
To begin with, for you to be a winner you have to learn control – control of your greed and control of your emotions. A very wise gambler once pointed out “The real struggle when you are playing is, in most cases, not between you and the casino, but between you and yourself.” There will be temptations to keep playing long after you should stop, there will be distractions to prevent you from playing when you should continue – what you need to do is develop a real feel for when you should make that next bet and when you should walk away.
Developing the correct attitude towards gambling will help you to conquer the many and varied ways the casinos are able to psych you out of winning or make it difficult for you to leave the casino when you should. The best attitude is to walk into a casino expecting to win. Now there are no guarantees you will win but there’s no reason to think you’ll lose. Even if you do lose, if you’re prepared for the eventuality because the reality is regardless of how skillfully you play luck may desert you some days, you will still be okay with the right attitude. On the day that luck deserts you be prepared to walk away once you have burned through your gambling cash – don’t keep forking your hard earned money over hoping against hope that you’ll hit a jackpot. If you’re gambling smart you won’t be desperately hoping to win back your rent money, you’ll have simply exhausted your game play for the day but will be able to come back tomorrow.
Beyond all the advice we can give you, developing a sense of timing is of premiere importance. When playing blackjack for example, playing tired or playing after a few drinks too many may cost you dearly, you should know when you’re at your best and only play then.
Developing the right attitude may not come naturally, it takes a great deal of work to get comfortable with the discipline a successful casino gambler’s game plan needs. If you are able to master yourself and your desires then and only then will you be able to become one of the greats of the gambling world able to enjoy the excitement and joy of winning.

Morning at the casino. Two bored dealers are delighted when an attractive lady comes to their crap table and puts down $20,000 down on a single roll of the dice.
“I hope you don’t mind” she says “but I feel much luckier when I’m topless.” With that she removes both blouse and bra. She rolls the dice, yelling “Momma needs a new shirt!”
Then she jumps up and down and hugs the dealers. “YES! I WIN! I WIN!” With that she picks up her money and clothes and quickly leaves.
The dealers stare at each other dumbfounded. Finally one to them asks, “What did she roll, anyway?”
The other answers, “I don’t know. I thought YOU were watching the dice!”

A man comes home to find his wife packing her bags. “Where are you going?” demands
the surprised husband. “To Las Vegas! I found out that there are men that will pay me $500 to do what I do for you for free!”
The man pondered that thought for a moment, and then began packing HIS bags.
“What do you think you are doing?” she screamed.
” I’m going to Las Vegas with you… I want to see how you’re going to live on $1000 a year!”

Keno Tips:
Just because a number comes up once doesn’t mean it will come up again.
Just because a number hasn’t come up yet doesn’t mean it ever will.
All numbers are chosen at random! Every turn they all have an equal chance of turning up.
There is no strategy that can beat Keno, it is all luck.
You are more likely to win if you’re playing a few numbers.
Slot Machine Tips:
Do not make winning the jackpot your goal. If you go a few rounds and haven’t won anything from that machine move to another.
Make your goal to win smaller jackpots.
Don’t play the game for rent or car insurance, play it just for fun or for playing money for the rest of the night.
Jackpots happen randomly.
Just because you’ve been playing a certain machine for a certain amount of time – don’t expect the jackpot.

Video Poker Tips:
Do you know what each hand pays? Find out!
Every game doesn’t pay the same amount!
Do you know which cards are wild? Find out!
If you want to hit the video poker jackpot you have to place the maximum bet.
Until you’re confident in how it all works play for the small wins.

Ultimate Blackjack Tips
Always split pairs of aces and eights.
Don’t split fives, fours, tens, jacks, queens or kings.
If the dealer has an eight or less be sure to double down on 10 or 11.
Always hit if the dealer has a 7 or greater and you’re holding a hard twelve to sixteen.
Hit on soft 17.
If the dealer has between a 2 and a 6 always stand if you’re holding 12-16
Don’t forget – ALWAYS stand on 17-21.
Ultimate Roulette Tips:
Don’t get stuck on one system there are too many strategies available for this game for you to keep playing and lose.
Your opening bet should be $1, bet on five different numbers at once.
If you win on one number, spread your winnings equally over the same five you just bet on.
If you win again, walk away. You now have $245 you didn’t before.
Some numbers may come up more often than most, this is all random, there is no guarantee it will come up again.
Most Importantly - don’t bet your whole night’s cash on one number

Know the Rules: if you go into a game expecting to pick it up as you go along or relying on beginners luck you may be sorely disappointed. Instead take advantage of all the online casinos that give you the opportunity to play for free to learn the ins and outs of the game before you place any actual bets. Why waste that $10 on a game you’ll surely lose when you can save it for the next one where you might make that same $10 bet and win?
Budget: It’s hard to keep a close watch on the cash you’re spending but you don’t want to all of a sudden discover you’ve lost your rent money! So make yourself a budget, decide how much money you can afford to lose and only bet with that. If you win you can use that to augment your betting cash, but if you lose you’ve only lost a sum you won’t miss too much. Leave your ATM cards at home, don’t even think about putting that credit card in your wallet and your checks should stay in your desk drawer. Show a little self-discipline and you will be a wiser gambler than most.
Don’t Chase Losses: If you lose a game don’t make an even larger bet on the next hand to try to make up for what you just lost. This never helps and in fact could make the situation worse if you lose the even larger bet. Accept the loss and move on, try another game or just another table.
Don’t be Distracted: Careless mistakes, like betting on red when you meant black can lose you money! Stay focused on the game.
Take Breaks: Good gambling requires focus, you can easily find your attention wandering if you’ve been playing a single game for two hours – if possible take a break every thirty-five to forty minutes as this is an average attention span (think back to high school, this is why classes are held in 40 minute intervals). Taking a break allows you to come back to the table fresher than if you simply dive back in and may help you from making careless mistakes. A clear mind will keep you from becoming desperate and trying to recoup previous losses by making larger and larger bets.
Pace Yourself: You don’t want to be broke after 20 minutes of play do you? Take it easy on the betting, start off slow and bet smart!
Emotion: Don’t gamble angry, don’t gamble if you’re upset or depressed, high emotions will interfere with your judgment and may cause you to make rash or unwise bets that could lose you money. A good gambler is focused and clear headed.
Have Fun: Gambling isn’t supposed to be work or an exercise in frustration it should be fun! This is the most important tip you can receive, once it’s not fun anymore stop playing for the day.

Before you begin gambling online or in a physical casino you should know the core principles, “Commandments” if you like, about gambling. Below you will find a few of these commandments you should always have in mind whenever you enter any casino be it land based or online.
Thou shall bet only what thy can afford to lose.
Thou shall know and abide by the local law.

Thou shan’t expect to win every time.
Thou shall not try to cheat by hedging your bets or making side bets.
Thou shall not trust blindly in betting systems.
Thou shall seek out the tables with the best odds and the most profitable rules.
Thou shall trust in the odds falling in your favor.

You’re Not Due. You’ve been playing for 3 days straight, you haven’t showered, you haven’t slept, your lucky socks are dirty enough to smell straight through your shoes but you’re still not due to win. You’re not. Your odds remain the same regardless of how long you’ve been playing for. Keep in mind that the rules of every game favor the casino so you are always less like to win than lose. Don’t chase after your losses, don’t get caught up in the heady rush of the moment, you are always as likely to win or lose as you were in the last round.
Choose your casino wisely. Every casino is different from the last one. Every casino has its own set of rules including virtual casinos. Browse through the rules of all the casinos you’re thinking about playing in, even try a casino or two before you pick the one that seems to give you the most advantage. Don’t just sit down and start playing at the first casino you randomly stumble upon, there may be one out there that works better for you.
Always play the progressives. Slot machines, Caribbean stud poker, virtual poker, keno and so many others have progressive jackpots (jackpots that get larger with every game until someone finally wins) that it seems silly to play them for a single game pay out. Look around, keep your eyes open for the progressive jackpot games with the same payout rates that are listed in the reviews forum of most online casinos.
