Is there a more famous casino than The Monte Carlo? I don’t think so. When you think of the ultimate gambling experience Las Vegas is definitely a distant second to the Monte Carlo Casino where women in elbow length gloves wearing diamonds larger than marbles ooze elegance and men in tuxedoes give James Bond a run for his money in their smooth demeanour.
The Monte Carlo Casino opened its doors to the rich and the famous in 1863 and has kept them open since. Each year this palace with its eight giant bohemian crystal chandeliers has seen improvements, it was the first casino with electric lighting in 1890 and has continued to be at the top of the casino field ever since. More than being the best in appearance though the Monte Carlo captures a real sense of history and has a very welcoming vibe that entices visitors to stay, to gamble, to spend. It is definitely the ultimate in gambling vacation destinations.

How does gambling go from hobby to addiction? It’s simple really. Most casinos are only out to part the average player from his or her money. These casinos don’t care if you become addicted to gambling, they only care that you keep playing. A casino is a business after all and business are all about profit.
So they create atmospheres that take you out of your usual frame of mind, they put you in luxurious rooms where the games all seem so glamorous and distract you from the time by having no windows and keep you distracted by offering free alcoholic beverages so that gambling seems like a great idea. The biggest cash crop of casinos is the slot machines, players get so caught up in pulling the lever and hopefully cashing in that they can’t drag themselves away. It’s this dogged determination that pushes marathon runners that last fifty yards. In other situations it’s humanity’s saving grace, in this case it can lead to damnation as in the heat of the moment a player may spend much more than he or she intended to. Or borrow money and get in over their head because the atmosphere of the casino clouds their better judgment.
This is why you must always gamble smart. Always go in with a plan of how much you’re willing to spend, how much you’re willing to lose, even how much you want to win, how long you intend to spend gambling and most importantly you have to stick to your plan. Gambling online can go a long way to keeping you safe, after all you’re in charge of your surroundings, you can have lights and windows and clocks to remind you of the time and of course you’re not going to drink nearly as much at home by yourself than you would in a casino. Gambling can be a fun and exciting way to spend Saturday afternoons but you don’t want it to become a problem in your life.

Don’t gamble with money you can’t afford to lose, don’t ever borrow money to gamble. If you can’t afford it you shouldn’t be playing for money the same way you wouldn’t go out and blow your rent money on tickets to an amusement park or borrow money to go the cinema don’t do either of these things in order to gamble.
The house always has the advantage. This is a simple and true fact and if you think you can beat the house every time you are sorely mistaken.
Know the game you’re playing. Know the rules, know the exception to the rules, know everything about the game inside out and upside down. You don’t want to lose on a technicality.
Take breaks, lots of them. This keeps your head clear for concentrating on the game and keeps the excitement of the games from building up and leading you to gambling mania.
Losses happen, accept them as part of the game, think of them as the cost of playing and move on.
Enjoy gambling but don’t let it be your only hobby. Branch out, find other things to do with the money you win from gambling like taking a painting class or a dance class.

Now China isn’t the first place I think of when I think of gambling, but that was before I heard about the Grand Lisboa Casino in Macau China. Built in 1847 by Portuguese settlers in Macau the casino is shaped like a giant lotus blossom with forty floors, three hundred guest rooms and two hundred tables for gambling which of course includes: blackjack, keno, slots, poker, roulette and all the standards as well as more exotic Chinese gambling games.
Known as The Forbidden City in China (Gambling is illegal in most other areas in the country) Macau gets up to twenty million visitors a year just for the gambling and while there are lots of casinos to handle all these visitors the best and most beautiful is the Grand Lisboa. For a memorable out of the ordinary experience this is definitely the place you want to spend your online casino winnings to get to.

If you’re looking for the true definition of the classy gambling establishment, with ladies in evening dresses, gentlemen in suits and only the finest champagne sipped over games like blackjack, three card poker and roulette then the Clermont Club in London is exactly where you want to go to on vacation. Built in 1962 this Clermont is one of the most elite and high class gambling establishments you’ll find in all of England.
The club itself is gorgeous, with opulent interiors of fine darkly polished wood and classically upholstered furniture pieces. It includes a five star restaurant, a fully stocked bar with the primmest English bartender you can imagine, a club room and finally the Holland Room where all the actual gambling takes place.
So while you’re spinning that roulette wheel online, keep this in the back of your mind as the ultimate destination for UK gamblers or just gambling in the UK.

There’s no greater gamble than betting, wait I mean, investing in the stock market. It used to be that buying stock in casinos and online gambling companies were sure things however lately with the drop in the economy even casinos are having financial problems. Not to mention that all the new casinos that are being registered on Native American land and the like have broken the monopoly that Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos once held in America so stock prices are of course going down.
So while the big casino stocks might not be worth as much as they were before the smaller casinos are where you should be investing your money. Companies like Ameristar and Pinnacle are what the big dogs in the Stock Market are recommending to the everyday Joe Schmoe investor.

The lights, the pyramids, the Eiffel tower, the entertainers, the showgirls, that thrilling history of mob violence these are all things that set Las Vegas apart from any other vacation destination. The prime reason people go to Vegas on vacation is to have a great time and for these visitors - gambling, drinking, free food and gorgeous hotels are what having a great time entails!
The crown jewel of the Las Vegas strip is the Bellagio Hotel and Casino with its almost four thousand guest rooms, a five star rating and the best, most extravagant casino on the strip. Even the fountains, usually an overlooked part of a hotel’s decor are awe-inspiring at the Bellagio. Visitors on the street stop to stare at the intricate dance the waters of each fountain acts in tandem with the others. There is no more splendour than the game room laid out before you with dozens of tables for poker, roulette, blackjack, craps, whatever your heart might desire. And if you’re looking for a higher-stakes game then Club Prive at the Bellagio with its dark wood interior and soft pile carpetting provides a much more private setting for you to test your gambling skills.
If gambling is more than the occasional indulgence but something you really enjoy and have taken the time to develop the skills for then this is definitely the place for you to set as your next vacation goal. Like I said before, who knows while you’re spinning the online slots you might strike it big and suddenly be able to finance that vacation there tomorrow.

Every gambler worth his chips knows about Bodog online casino but did you know that Bodog takes bets on everything? And I do mean everything! Last year’s American Idol contest Bodog casino allowed gamers to places bets on who they thought would win, and came complete with a chart of the odds for each contestant (fan favourite Sanjaya Malakar was given 25/1 odds).
This is probably not the best contest to bet on considering there are entire sites devoted to getting votes for the viewers both their favourites and ironically sites dedicated to getting the worst contestants elected as America’s next Idol. However if you’re really certain about one of the singers and really think he or she’s got that ‘it’ factor then go ahead and make your bets over at Bodog this year, YOU might be the one to make a fortune. After all it was hardly gambling betting on someone like Kelly Clarkson or Chris Daughtry!

So if you’re in the market for a new online casino or just dipping your toe into the waters of online gambling you may be wondering where to take your business. I’ve got a suggestion for you for the new Casino that’s taking the the internet community by storm - Virgin Online Casino at Virgin.com. It’s a newer casino but with all the publicity and hype that surrounds it you can be assured that it’s legit or someone would’ve squealed on them by now. Not to mention it’s run by the largest of entertainment companies world wide!
So here you’ve got a brand you can trust, but does it bring the customer service you expect? What about the quality of its games? Well you’re definitely on the right track here as I have it on good authority that their customer service is excellent and while their game stable might be a little smaller than most with only seventy games instead of three hundred this isn’t a bad thing for most players and especially for new players who may be overwhelmed by the fifty different kinds of black jack offered at other casinos (Virgin only offers 9) after all how many variations do you really need?
Best of all though is that Virgin is a no-download casino meaning you don’t need a lot of software clogging up your hard drives and even better than that you can play your casino games anywhere at all. If you’re bored on your lunch hour at work you could open up your twenty-millionth game of solitaire or you could simply log on and play a round of poker or the slots or even such family favourites like The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune are available. The games load quickly and don’t require high speed internet to play so you’re good to go within seconds. and if you like the games but don’t like spending money Virgin does offer the option of playing with virtual credits to win virtual cash (just be sure you won’t be pissed off when you realize how much of that virtual cash could’ve been real cash when you win)
So if you’re looking for a great online casino Virgin should definitely be on your list to check out.

Antiguan online casinos should be experiencing a huge increase in sheer numbers soon with its recent inclusion on the UK White List of foreign online casinos. The White List is comprised of foriegn online casinos that are allowed to advertise throughout the UK. This list protects gamblers in the UK from viewing ads by unlicensed online casinos which may in fact be elaborate hoaxes designed to strip players of their hard earned cash unfairly.
With this new ability to make itself heard the Antiguan online casino community has already had an upswing in new casinos applying for Antiguan licensing. The government in Antigua expects almost a one hundred percent increase in revenue from this industry within the next year. This is great news for the general Antiguan economy which took a great hit two years ago when financial transactions between US gamblers and foreign online casinos were banned. This new influx of ad revenue and players from the UK should be just the remedy the Antiguans online casino economy needs.
